Student Leadership

Jesus hung out with 12,

Leadership development is a process that involves presence, patience, and lots of good coaching. There’s an art to it, but it’s one of the most incredible privileges in this life. Youth ministry programs are great places for students to practice leading. The key is seeing ministry as opportunities to provide practice, with the real deal being the real world.

MyMA has developed student leaders on all levels of the Methodist movement:

  • Local

  • District

  • Conference

  • Jurisdictional

  • Global

We’re ready to help grow your student leaders; whether you are starting a new team, enhancing an existing program, or maximizing the fruitfulness of your current leaders.

MyMA is ready to generate directions for student leadership in:

  • Discipleship

  • Events

  • Worship

  • Teaching

  • Missions

  • Hospitality

Our Wesleyan Student Leadership Initiative (WSLI) is a holistic approach to student leadership formation in the Wesleyan tradition. We believe Wesleyan Leadership is relational, missional, and incarnational. WSLI equips students with a biblical Wesleyan understanding of leadership (adaptive and technical), through practical knowledge, skills and confidence to encourage holiness of heart and life. Students will explore Wesleyan doctrine and theology, engage in personal reflection and be empowered to live into their Christian identity, over the course of 3 overnight retreats.

Click here to sign up for the next WSLI retreat. September 23-24.
